Join Us on a hike through River Legacy Park to the fabled Hell's Gate! A Google search will reveal many who believe they have found Hell's Gate or have dared to try only to turn back in fear! We know where the real Hell's Gate is, the famous one featured in Weird Texas.
We will meet in front of the restrooms on the hill inside the park. There is a patio area that overlooks the park fields and small lake. Meet there. Be on time! Map: N 32 47.426' W 97 6.860'

Participants should bring:
- Cash $5 per / person for tour.
- Snack (apple slices, nuts, clif bars).
- Food, Drinks, Utensils (if cooking out).
- Water (1 quart refillable bottle).
- Weather appropriate Clothing.
- Bug Repellant (just in case).
- Comfortable Shoes (That can get dirty, No sandals of any kind!).
- Camera (water proof bag if rain).
- Flashlight and small First Aid Kit.
- Whistle and Compass, Print Out of Map.
- 2 way radio w/ NOAA Alerts (Set to channel 5, code 0).
Difficulty (1:Easy - 5:Hard): Rated 2-3 depending on weather.
Length of Event: 5+ miles, 3-4 Hours (with stops).
Environment: Dirt Trail, Drop Offs, Snakes and Poison Ivy.
Parking: Unsupervised, Lock and Hide Valuables.
Minors & Pets not advised / Please no sandals of any kind!
Only RSVP if you truly feel that you can attend.
