DFWA Lake Ray Roberts Camping

Join Us for a camp out on the beautiful Lake Ray Roberts just an hour outside of Dallas. This park has both paved and dirt trails for hiking and biking, a swimming beach, kayaking (if you bring your own kayak, life jacket and gear), beach volleyball, playgrounds, restrooms and showers near the parking area. Campsite is primitive, half mile hike from parking area, overlooks lake, has water available.

Participants should bring:
- Cash for park entry ($7 per car).
- Cash for DFWA campsite fee ($5 per person).
- No refunds. Must pay campsite fee at meetup location.
- Camping gear, tent, sleeping bag/pad, food, water, flashlight, etc.
- Backpack or other method of transporting gear.

Pets are welcome if leashed, friendly and picked up after.
Minors are welcome if avid hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Highly Recommended:
- Whistle and Compass and Small first aid kit.
- 2 way radio w/ NOAA Alerts (Set to channel 5, code 0).

Additional Information:
There are no restrooms at the site, other than The Tree, bring your own food, steaks, hot dogs and fixins. You should have at least a gallon of water for drinking. Anyone who brings a kayak or canoe is welcome. REI Dallas rents kayaks if you do not have your own.

Difficulty (1:Easy - 5:Hard): Rated 2 depending on weather.
Length of Event: 1/2 miles, 24 Hours.
Environment: Primitive
Parking: Patrolled by State Park Officer.

Only RSVP if you truly feel that you can attend.
Do not re-post to other event boards or sites.
No smoking near other members of group.
Do not attend if you are sick or have health issues.
No radio or recorded music, guitars are welcome!
No photos, videos or tagging of organizer(s).
